VA partial-entitlement worksheet
VA Bonus Entitlement Calculator
Model remaining entitlement from the FHFA one-unit county limit and the entitlement already charged on a Certificate of Eligibility. The result stays transparent so a mortgage professional can verify each step with current VA guidance.
PARTIAL-ENTITLEMENT INPUTS
Estimate remaining VA entitlement.
Use rounded scenario values only. Do not enter a Veteran's name, Social Security number, loan number, property address, or upload a Certificate of Eligibility.

This calculator is for a Veteran with partial or encumbered entitlement. Veterans with full entitlement generally are not subject to county loan limits, although lender approval, income, credit, appraisal, occupancy, and other requirements still apply. The funding fee, financed costs, joint-loan rules, and lender overlays can change the final calculation.
Verify the method with VA.gov ↗How is remaining VA bonus entitlement estimated?
For partial entitlement, multiply the county one-unit limit by 25%, then subtract entitlement already used and not restored. Multiplying the remainder by four produces a common estimate of the loan amount that may be supported before a down payment is needed. The lender and VA make the final determination.
