1
Map the final dependencies
The closing path can involve lender clearance, title or settlement work, insurance, final documents, scheduling, funds, signatures, and state-specific requirements. The working plan should identify each dependency and owner.
2
Communicate without overpromising
A processor can report the current milestone, open items, and known blockers, but should not guarantee lender action, approval, document timing, funding, or closing.
3
Finish with a clean status
The final processing status should record what was completed, what remains outside scope, and which approved next steps belong to the brokerage or another party.
